Angus MacBride Research Consultancy Limited ("Angus MacBride") is an international research business that respects the privacy of individuals and is committed to protecting your personal data. We are transparent in the way we handle personal information and process personal data in accordance with applicable privacy and data protection laws.

This Privacy Policy describes what types of information we collect, how we collect, use, share, store information, and the opt-out option that is available to you.


What types of information do we collect?

The information we collect sometimes includes information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, to you.  The types of information we sometimes collect include:

  • Title, first name and surname (identity information).

  • Your demographics, gender, age, city/location, education, and other general demographics.

  • Your contact details, if required including address, email, and contact telephone numbers.

  • General interest or profile data, including general interests, hobbies, product ownership, preferences, etc.

  • Employment details if required, including job title, employment history, references and application details if apply to Angus MacBride.

  • Survey/customer feedback responses you may have provided, shared or uploaded while being interviewed or taking part in a survey.


How do we collect information?

Information is typically collected via the following means:

  • Via emails, events, phone calls or other forms of communication with you.

  • Via market research surveys conducted by Angus MacBride or a partner organisation.

  • Via third-party sampling or client submissions in compliance with all local data privacy laws.

  • Via the company website angusmacbride.com.


How we use the information?

In general, the information collected is used in an aggregated manner to provide insights to our clients on market requirements with the aim to improve the products and services offered to you and the market in general. In collecting the information Angus MacBride conducts quality assurance checks as well as additional analysis before sharing autonomised data.

Quality assurance checks are required to ensure each response is valid, for example in terms of location of the interview and time submitted. Such tracking processes may require IP checks, as well as time stamps to be verified.

In addition, information can be used for legal reference against potential fraud claims, to handle any complaints, for future market research purposes, as well as for marketing and communication events.


How we share the information?

All personally identifiable information (“PII”) is removed from the data we share with third parties unless required by the research process. It is impossible to determine the identity or contact details of the respondent, unless specially requested by Angus MacBride and consent given by the respondent. Such requests are infrequent.


How do we store the information?

We store information in accordance with market research guidelines and local laws. We secure the data within the commercial means of the business, in order to avoid theft, loss or modification. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the internet Angus MacBride cannot guarantee complete security.
